We were on vacation and in the mood for some fish tacos. This place is an awesome lunch spot. Nothing fancy about this spot but that's why i liked it so much. You can stop in on your way home from the beach in some flip flops and t shirt. It's right on the water and the food is delicious. Our kids even liked the food. Our waiter was attentive and polite.
Tide Tables is our favorite restaurant and is worth the visit. Sit at the bar, talk with your neighbors and bartenders and while you're at it, feel free to enjoy the best grouper tacos and key lime pie in Florida! And don't forget about the view while you eat!
Tide Tables took a punch from Helene and Milton but is still standing. We went on a Sunday, mid afternoon; outside was busy, parking attendant handling visitors but food remains very good. Artie took good care of us at the bar so our drafts were cold and our fried scallops were perfect. Glad to see reemergence of local restaurants, especially those who we frequented and love. Support local restaurants please!
My wife and I were in Bradenton this past week visiting relatives for the holidays. My sisters-in-law wanted to bring us to Tide Tables for dinner one night, and I'm so glad they did! I really enjoyed our dinning experience. We arrived at approximately 4:30 on Sunday December 22nd. It was a beautiful evening so we decided to sit outside. There was a good crowd but we managed to get a table by the water. This is a seafood joint, but they have a handful of non-seafood offerings including: burgers, chicken, and bbq ribs. ...But let's be clear: I came for the seafood! I ordered the Thai Chili Grouper Bites. It was one of the daily specials and it was outstanding! I tried my sister-in-law's Shrimp Po' Boy and it was tasty. For you land lovers the burger was also good. Prices are reasonable and service is very good. Thanks for bringing us here Lisa and Connie!
The staff here truly goes above and beyond. A few weeks ago, I lost my jacket while visiting, and not only did they find it, but they also shipped it all the way back to Georgia without asking for anything in return. Their kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on me. As if the service wasn't already outstanding, the food was nothing short of incredible. The gumbo was flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and every dish my family ordered was equally delightful. The ambiance is simply perfect, peaceful and inviting, with the restaurant being right on the water. It creates such a relaxing and enjoyable vibe. This is one of the best dining experiences I've had, and I'll absolutely be returning the next time I'm in Sarasota. Thank you to the amazing team for making my visit so memorable!
What a great place. The bartender was excellent. Je provided recommendations and then even gave directions when I discovered they sold only beer/wine. I actually left and went to two other places - one regrettably wrecked by hurricane and one only accepting cash. I returned due to how helpful and welcoming they were. The bartender recommended the fish tacos of which I am not usually a fan. He quickly offered to sub chicken or shrimp. The shrimp tacos were delicious. The whole meal and atmosphere was a hit.
I want to gate keep, but I won't... best fried shrimp and grouper ever. Expensive but worth it! A must-visit on AMI. Now that we have found our seafood place, we will be going twice in a week.
Great lunch spot on the water. We arrived a little after they opened at 11:30 am and most of the outdoor tables were already occupied. There are outdoor bar seats too and indoor seating. There is a parking attendant that will tell you where to park and a hostess that will direct you depending if you want indoor/outdoor or bar/tables. They will not seat you unless everyone in your party is present. Menus, condiments and paper towels are on the tables. Our server was great, food came out quickly and drinks were always replenished. I got the red sangria and partner tried the canned cider (Kopparberg) which comes in 2 flavors - pear and strawberry lime. We both ordered the seafood combo - u choose btwn fried, grilled and blackened. Comes with cole slaw and you choose a side (fries, baked beans, yellow rice) (grilled veggies is an extra $2 charge). Food came out quickly, we ate every bite, everything was delicious. I think the Cole slaw had pineapple in it? Which was a nice touch. Very dog friendly too, the couple next to us said the staff brought out a water bowl for their Shih Tzu. We tried the key lime pie too, which was wonderful. We would 100% come back. Lovely florida style lunch place on the water, laid back, great service. We had great weather and enjoyed watching the boats and pelicans. Come early to get a good seat outside by the water. (There were big fans outside which made the Florida heat/humidity much more pleasant.)
We came here based on a recommendation from our Captain from our fishing trip. He raved about this little place, so we headed there for lunch after our fishing trip. When we arrived, we were directed where to park (they had a parking person there). When we got out of the car, she was told us where to go and what Tide Tables was known for. Once we arrived at the host stand, we noticed a cute tiki bar with great views of the water and outdoor tables. Once we were seated we grabbed menus that were already on the table and decided on lunch. I opted to try their fish tacos and a Landshark beer, my husband got the same except he ordered a Bud Light. Our server was attentive and checked on us multiple times throughout our visit. Our beers and tacos came out quickly. These were by far the best fish tacos we had our entire trip in Longboat Key. The fish was perfectly cooked, the fish was plentiful, the ambiance was beachy, and the beer was cold. You can't beat the location! Give it a try, Tide Tables lived up to the hype!
We were just over in Bradenton Beach and decided to cross the bridge to Cortez and hit this place for dinner after seeing the reviews. The parking attendants were professional and directed us where to park and enter the restaurant. No wait to sit inside for a party of 5. We ordered breaded mushrooms, peal & eat shrimp and conch fritters for an appetizer. All were average with the fritters being too dark. I had a bowl of lobster and potato soup that was excellent and the best I had on AMI with large pieces of lobster. My main entree was the blackened combo platter. The shrimp and scallops along with the mahi mahi were good but red yellow blackened instead of Louisiana blacked. I enjoyed the side of smoked baked beans and a very small side of pineapple coleslaw. The award winning key lime pie was very good but not the best I had in AMI. A little too sweet. The shock top pitchers of beer were the most affordable we had on our vacation and poured into frosted mugs. High/low picnic and bar seating. Indoor/outdoor bar. Deck with water views. Economical serving items from styrofoam plates and bowls, paper menus to plasticware and a paper towel roll at the table. Small discount for cash payment. Excellent service from our 9 year veteran Virginia. Pricing is on the high side for the setting. Virginia brought it up to the 4 star overall rating. I probably would return for lunch and sit on the deck to give them another try.
